Daily I am aware of two things: 1. the world’s view of how wrong everything is and at the same time 2. how perfect and elegant everything is.
Like everyone else, I am a dual-vibrational being. The first vibration is that of my human mind focused here on Earth. With my body and mind I navigate this physical planet, experience physical things and translate them with my miraculous Self. Some things I love and adore, others not so much. All the while my Higher Self, some 96% of me, remains in Well Being knowing the utter perfection of this World, this Universe, and the Laws that operate unfailingly to produce the sunrise every morning and the seasons in their appropriate time. The degree to which I am happy and content is the degree to which I am master over my human mind, closing the gap between my human mind and lining it up with my Godmind. This, my friends, is True for every one of us.
We are growing in numbers, those of us who choose to awaken from the dream of this “reality” to create the one our hearts know to be True. If we had but eyes to see, we would awaken every morning in Paradise right here on earth. This is a time of great awakening. You, too, can be a part of this, because you come from the same Substance as the rest of us who have held the Space of this Knowing for a very, very long time.

what do you have full faith in

Once a month I write 4 entries for my free weekly message series. Today was that day as I wrote messages 85-88. Usually I cast about for a “monthly theme” so to speak, but this time it came roaring in as Faith. What do we have Faith in? What can we say without a shadow of a doubt that we would bet the farm on? The Law of Gravity? The Sunrise and Sunset? The Government? God?
Recently I had to have new house keys made. The gentleman making the new keys for me went on an on about how he’d lost Faith in humanity. I asked him if he had Faith in God? He responded that he had Faith in a strong lock. How sad, I thought. How very, very sad.
We are definitely being pried loose from our false sense of security. Every where we look something new is now unreliable, the government, unemployment benefits, our employers advice from our doctors. Our sense of safety and security is being rocked to the core forcing us to let go of our faith in externals, bringing us “home” to our sense of Self.
But even then, most of us don’t feel safe with ourselves. What can we count on? What can we have full Faith and Trust in after all?
There are the immutable Universal Laws that operate unfailingly, most famous of which is the Law of Attraction; but there are others, as well. And there is the immutable Truth that we each are an integral part of this elegant Universe with the ability to master our focus and create our own Reality.
You can and should take the time to become the master of your focus, your spirit, your energy. This is what Applied Spirituality is all about: remembering Who You Really Are, Source Energy in physical format and mastering the focus of your Energy, yourSelf.

appreciating the past: beaver,pa

I just did a whirlwind 36 hours back to my past. The effects are stunning. I have come away remembering some things, but more I realized for the first time how much I gained from those 4 brief years spent in Beaver, Pa from age 12-16. The occasion of this trip was a collective class birthday party held at Two Mile Run Park.
Beaver, Pa on the Ohio River
Beaver, PA has become a jewel along the Ohio River. However it was also the site of Fort McIntosh during the Civil War.
However, what I value is the great Quality that this community added to my life during my time there, which is still there. It was, looking back, a Camelot experience. In Beaver I had the great good fortune to be taught by a school system that placed a high value on quality. I learned to love music. Not just love music, but I was taught how to play the instrument and had my first experience of creating music whist playing Igor Stravinsky’s, Firebird. At that time three men ran the music department, Robert Jones, Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Howarth. While they nourished my Spirit in music, Mrs. Hughes was busy enlivening us with her interpretation of Caesar’s Commentaries and Pliny in Latin. Ms. Coleson was passionately instructing us in grammar, insisting that proper grammar was essential in clear communications and accurate personal expression using the written word. Mr. Payne was mad about math, and excited even the most marginal students to understand and use algebra in everyday encounters. On and on, each teacher was inspired and inspired us.
But another thing happened in Beaver. We students never became competitors with each other. There were many excellent students. Yet even all these many years later we agree that we were somehow inspired to become better rather than compete with each other. It took a visit back to remember this and check in with my old classmates to verify if my perception of this time was theirs, as well. And it was. Now I understand that since then, I have been looking for this same Quality of experience: Love, support, all for one and one for all, community of appreciation for the individuality of each as complimentary to the Whole.
How blessed I am to have had this Quality benchmark so early on in life. There’s enough for everyone; everyone is Valuable; and Joy is the essential experience be it in math, Latin, music or business. Most certainly this was the birthing grounds for Applied Spirituality.

Coaching: Helping You Find True North Within
Anytime you ask someone for advice, you’re asking someone else to tell you what to do. You are giving away your power to them. True, sometimes we’re in situations where others do have information that we need, then it’s wise and appropriate to ask for help. Like when you’re lost and need directions to a location. Or you need some piece of knowledge or information that someone else is expert with. For example, I’d ask for help with car repairs or how to weld.
However, when it comes to your life decisions, one needs to be really careful who you ask for advice. Why?
No one else knows how you feel about something and especially what your heart’s desire truly is. Only you know that.
You would need to be certain that this person has similar values to you, therefore is giving you harmonious advice from their limited perspective and experience.
The most significant thing about asking someone else to counsel you is that you are stating to them and the entire Universe that “they” are wiser and know more about you than you do. You are stating that someone else has the answers to you life. You are giving up your sovereign power as the Creator of Your Reality to someone else. You’re telling the Big U, you don’t trust yourSelf.
Even if you take someone else’s advice about your personal life choices, you are still the immutable Creator of your own experience.
Coaching is different. Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, mentoring or teaching. Transformational Life Coaches (TLC’s) operate from three fundamental premises:
- You are wise.
- You are not broken.
- You are capable and trustworthy with your own life.
Coaches help you see more clearly the interior of your own landscape for yourself, where all your answers are and have always been. Like sherpas, TLC’s illuminate the interior uncharted map of your true desires…your True North. Then, they help you remember to stay your course, apply the tools and techniques for self mastery so you get the life you imagine and desire.
Next time you’re tempted to ask your girlfriends or guy friends for advice, think again. Maybe a transformational life coach would be a much better investment of your precious focus of Source Energy.

Daffodils Re-emerging
The day has dawned here in Ohio glorious! As a matter of fact, it was 85 degrees here on Good Friday. Holy Toledo! And yesterday there was such wind and strange sky that I thought Dorothy and Toto would fly by followed in turn by the Wicked Witch on her bicycle followed by the house. Alas, no such storm came to pass, but engendered much thought.
I love Easter and all the weeks leading up to it, because I am put into the mind to review the things I harbor in my mind that might block my realization of Love. What are we to give up during lent and then, forevermore? Everything the human mind holds as truth, which is false. Such as, you might wonder? Well for starters that there is anything to fear or worry about! We are to crucify all our false beliefs: I am not enough; the world is a dangerous place; that man-idea-philosophy is my enemy, for starters.
I look out upon the world and at my garden boxes where the crocus, tulips and daffodils are blooming in great cheer. Even the garlic and herbs are popping up, as well as the peonies. As I drove home yesterday I saw the willow wearing a dress of the slightest green, whilst the forsythia were more showy in a burst of yellow. Life Is! Life is eternally, always, springing forth, re-emerging at the same time every year – give or take a few weeks. An elegant design, wouldn’t you say? A design so elegant that we need give no thought to it, except perhaps to appreciate it.
And so, too, is each life, an inherent and integral part of this eternal Universal dance, this elegant design. We, also, have the ability to re-emerge – to resurrect our lives – over and over again.
Tulips & Crocus Rejoicing Life
Last evening I had word of a friend who passed away on Good Friday. Along with that news of others in distress or difficulty. These are the crucifixions of a life, the crucibles, meant for us to let go of anything that hinders us from experiencing the fulfillment of Love in and through our minds and bodies as we create here on Earth. Everything and everyone is an opportunity to release our resistance to Love and surrender into the Truth of our beingness, which is God, Itself.
In the Christian tradition today there is great celebration honoring the One who died and was resurrected. Jesus would have us understand that His message was and still is one of Love. That in every life there are many crucifixions and therefore, many opportunities for resurrection into a higher Consciousness of Love, the Christed Consciousness. If someone is in your life, Love them. Above all else, Love your Self. This is our growing edge, to become More Love right here on earth and for our creations to contain more Life.
health care reform: beginning the shift into well being

Seems there is a lot of brouhaha still lingering after the passage the new Health Care Reform Bill. I provide the link here to a very informative series of articles by the Christian Science Monitor which simplify the language of the bill for you to better interpret what it means to you in a physical way; but there’s way more to the story for each of us with a lot of opportunity.
The Health Care Reform Bill represents only a beginning. As our individual and therefore collective consciousness expands and we each begin to understand and accept how we actually create the whole of our own reality, much public debate and contention will recede over time… gone the way of the button hook.
Today’s gloomy projections by some on what health care reform might cost future generations does not factor in the expansion of individual consciousness into Well Being. There is at play a vast movement in the expansion of individual consciousness and the evolution of mankind. As individuals accept the full responsibility for their creations (including their health), these projected costs will not materialize. Indeed, entire industries will become upended unless they are astute and aware of the ever-growing and expanding global consciousness shift into Well Being.
People are just now becoming aware of the entire concept of being the Creator of Your Reality, later they will become masters at creating what they truly desire. rather than by default. When they do become masterful in staying in Well Being, there will come a time when insurance, hospitals and welfare will go the way of the Studebaker, pay phones, and the artificial heart.
Naysayers take heart. The economic impact of the Health Care Reform Bill will not be as you expect. This heralds another step in the consciousness shift of the planet and mankind. It’s all good. Be not afraid.
What Would It Take for You to Stop Being Afraid?

Last evening I watched the movie, V for Vendetta. It was released almost exactly 4 years ago, somehow I missed it then.
I was impressed with the film altogether. Thought provoking, intelligent, well written, acted, filmed, etc. The take away for me was contained in the scene sequences where Evey is put through prison and interrogation, where she stops being afraid of her own death and is free from fear to choose an action that she otherwise wouldn’t have been able to even see as a choice.
In the movie there takes place much discussion of the word terrorist. But as I watched it, I came to see more clearly than every before that a terrorist, by my definition, is anyone or anything that preys on your fears. Fear being the ultimate oppressor of a life well and fully lived.
I participate in an auto survey group. Once a week we are sent a survey (and I am sure these are commissioned by the American car manufacturer). They use us as a focus group, what do we think of this, that, etc. Last week the survey was to my mind, repulsive. The survey began with a commercial where it’s a dark night, a deer jumps in front of car, there’s a crash and the car’s onboard satellite system sends the life saving message to send help (thanks to the onboard gps system). We were to rate this commercial. Then, we were to rate this commercial in light of Toyota’s recent problems. Did we now feel better about Chevy or not? How do we now feel about Toyota?
Fear. They prey on your fears. They market to your fears. You now think that you’re not safe in a Toyota; but with this onboard satellite system in a Chevy, you are now “safe”, once again.
My feedback on the commercial to GM?
This is a time when real leadership would be attempting to lead Americans back into the idea of Well Being, strength and courage. Real leadership would acknowledge that we, as a people and individually create the whole of our destiny and future. We are capable. We are strong in love. We are innovative and creative. We are fearless in the face of any challenge, because we believe in ourselves.
To prey on people’s fears, to exacerbate fear, to imply they “need” help because they are unable to help themselves is loathsome and shameful. This commercial and most of the marketing messages are all about fear.
The trouble is, they get to you because you “buy in”. Now I ask you once again? What would it take for you to become unafraid and live your life as a free person. The real terrorist is fear presented to you a million times a day. When will you stop buying? It’s your free-will choice, wholly and completely your decision. If not now, when?

Earthquakes and Consciousness

I have been pondering powerful earthquakes. Having lived in Southern California for 30+ years, I’ve felt my share of temblors. For example the 1994 Northridge event which measured a 6.7. However, here are a list of quakes that have occurred so far this year:
- Magnitude 8.8 OFFSHORE MAULE, CHILE February 27, 2010
- Magnitude 7.0 RYUKYU ISLANDS, JAPAN February 26, 2010
- Magnitude 6.9 CHINA-RUSSIA-NORTH KOREA BORDER REGION February 18, 2010
- Magnitude 5.9 OFFSHORE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA February 04, 2010
- Magnitude 7.0 HAITI REGION January 12, 2010
I notice these things because I’m in the consciousness business which requires me to keep growing and expanding my own consciousness. To this end I’ve been taking a very intensive 7 week class which quite frankly has been kickin’ my wee butt. It’s not easy letting go of false beliefs, opening your heart and connecting with your own Center, leaving behind the old ways and embracing the new. It’s not easy for any of us. If it were, we’d all have already done the work and well, wouldn’t the world look a whole lot different that it currently does?
The reason I equate earthquakes with consciousness work (personal growth and development) is that they feel the same inside as an earthquake experience does in the physical world. The ground you “walked on” ( the old beliefs you embraced) are no longer there. It truly feels like your internal tectonic plates are shifting and upheaving literally leaving you with no internal horizon for awhile.
I’m just wondering if the magnitude of recent quakes in Chile, Haiti, San Fran, Japan and Russia are actually mirroring the great internal shifts happening within mankind…

I Am My Supply: Thoughts on Self Responsibility

It occurred to me this morning that the television talk shows, punsters, and reality shows are all about “selling blame”. It’s about exploiting the idea of victimhood. The Republicans would have you believe it is the liberals that are going to sell your safety out; the liberals would have you think that it is the Republicans who are responsible for your fear. Your spouse, mother, father, great Aunt Tilda is responsible for your current situation. If not them, then it’s the state of the economy, it’s the lack of jobs, it’s the weather, it’s ….you fill in the blank.
It’s all about “them” and never about you. So you’re the victim to “them”. When the heck are we going to step up to the plate and realize that I am the creator of my experience, individually and collectively?
Did you really come to planet earth to play the role of victim? Did you really say to yourself, “Wow, I want to know what it feels like to feel powerless and inconsequential?” Did you imagine your journey on earth would be fun if you were to think of yourself as powerless?
I don’t think so.
Beware of anyone trying to make you more aware of feeling helpless and a victim. Anyone who exploits those feelings in you is manipulating you into thinking you are prey in life. And by God, you are not – unless, of course, that’s the role you consciously choose to play.
The deeper truth is this: you are certainly the creator of your experience, every bit of it. So, if you don’t like the experience you’re currently having, change it. Stop believing you are the victim. Stop believing “they” have all the cards. Stop believing that you are ineffectual, inconsequential and powerless. Just bloody well give it up. You are the Creator. You create your experience by what you believe to be true about yourself.
If you think you’re a victim, you will create every circumstance to prove that to be true for you by the Law of Attraction. If you believe yourself to be inconsequential and ineffectual, you will create those people and circumstances to prove that belief to be true, for you.
The way you change the channel is by taking responsibility for the experiences you are creating. What’s my part in this? How did I create this? What do I believe about myself? Once you get to that, you can CONSCIOUSLY shift that belief to value who you are. Once you exchange powerless to powerful, you start seeing a whole different set of people and circumstances show up to prove those new beliefs to be true.
Step up to the plate. You are Creator. Whatever you believe deep within yourself is what you will manifest. There’s no one to blame. It’s simply time to “pick up thy bed and walk”. You’re not dead, you’re not powerless, you’re not inconsequential. You’re powerful Creator. You are your supply.
Time to do the inner work, the work of personal growth, of Self-responsibility.
